Derek has been with us since 2013 and he is currently the Marketing Director and Compliance Officer. He leads the marketing team with marketing and public relations efforts for the bank. Along with marketing, Derek helps Rivers Edge Bank and its team members stay compliant with all of the ever-changing regulations in banking. He is a graduate of Morningside University and has an MBA from Wayne State College. Derek is active in the Parker community, not only serving as Parker’s Mayor, but also volunteering for church and serving on the Turner County Fair Board. He has also been involved with South Dakota Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Work Group, serving as the Board representative. He spends his free time golfing, making ice cream, and spending time with his wife, Tarah and two daughters. Football season is an intense time in their house as they are passionate Vikings fans and enjoy watching the games as a family.
