Rivers Edge Bank customers can enjoy ATM access with no surcharge fees using any of our Rivers Edge Bank ATMs.

If you're not close to a Rivers Edge Bank location, we have a network of SHAZAM Privileged Status ATMs that also offer no fees! In addition to looking for the SHAZAM logo, look for the Privileged Status logo at ATMs and you will not pay a surcharge fee at that machine.

Your New Card Has Added Security Benefits

Your Rivers Edge Bank debit card includes an EMV® chip for enhanced security. For chip-enabled business and ATM terminals, you’ll need to insert your card — chip first. Your card will also have a magnetic strip on the back for use at terminals that don’t yet accept chip cards.

The chip within the card stores account information more securely, and the technology itself provides protection against fraudsters creating a replica of your card. The biggest benefit of switching to chip cards is the reduction in card fraud resulting from counterfeit, lost and stolen cards.

Mastercard Identity Check

Keeping your account safe and secure is our highest priority. We continue to partner with SHAZAM, our debit card processor, to implement additional authentication known as Mastercard Identity Check.

When both the ecommerce merchant and Rivers Edge Bank participate in Mastercard Identity Check, the transaction will go through a risk-based authentication. As the cardholder, you will be asked to identify yourself by receiving a One-Time passcode (OTP) via text message. Once received, you will enter this code on a checkout screen with SHAZAM’s Logo.

If an invalid OTP is entered in the checkout screen, the transaction will not be authenticated. If three (3) consecutive invalid OTPs are entered into the checkout screen, your card will be blocked at all Identity Check participating ecommerce merchants. To unblock your card, please contact your local Rivers Edge Bank branch.

What happens if fraud is detected on my account?

With each swipe of your card, FICO® Falcon® Fraud Manager, an artificial intelligence neural network, is building a case for you. Neural networks create a memory of information based on cardholder habits such as where and when you shop, how much you typically spend, types of purchases, fraud rates in the area and more. Each purchase strengthens the memory and in turn, makes decisions on which transactions are likely to be fraudulent.

If a suspicious transaction is detected on your debit card, SHAZAM will attempt to contact you from an automated call or text message.

 

If you receive a "Fraud Alert", you can simply reply "YES" or "NO" to confirm or deny the activity.

Example: At for $ ? If valid reply YES, if not NO, STOP to OptOut of Fraud Alerts”

If you confirm the transaction is fraudulent, Falcon’s real-time response capabilities allow us to quickly respond to suspicious transactions and avoid additional losses. There is nothing to sign up for, simply notify your local Rivers Edge Bank location if your contact information changes.

Important: SHAZAM will not ask for any personal information in regard to account numbers, social security numbers, etc. If you receive a call asking for that information or feel uncomfortable at any point, feel free to hang up and call your local location.
