Amalia Zick Scholarship to Washington Summit

Amalia Zick, Universal Banking Officer, Rivers Edge Bank, was selected to receive a scholarship to attend the Independent Community Bankers of America annual Capital Summit in Washington, D.C. The Capital Summit was held May 14-17.  As recipient of the scholarship, Amalia joined a delegation of twelve South Dakota bankers to hear from and interact with notable banking leaders including Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury and Sheila Bair, former Director of FDIC.  The SD delegation also met personally with Senators Mike Rounds and John Thune as well as Representative Dusty Johnson.  

The ICBA Washington Summit is held annually to allow bankers to meet with legislative and industry leaders to advocate on behalf of community banks across the United States.
